A mixture of upland forests, rocky woodlands, wetland forests, and open wetland, the preserve protects 900 feet of frontage on Lilly Pond, the headwaters of Whiskeag Creek. Three miles of multi-use trails exist in the preserve. Preserve is appropriate for hikers and mountain bikers. Leashed pets only.

Take High Street south and turn left onto Marshall Street, where parking is available at Goddard Park on the left. Then walk south on High Street approximately 500 feet, just past Getchell Street, to preserve entry at the wooden stairs on the right.
