A mixture of upland forests, rocky woodlands, wetland forests, and open wetland, the preserve protects 900 feet of frontage on Lilly Pond, the headwaters of Whiskeag Creek.

Three miles of multi-use trails exist in the preserve. Preserve is appropriate for hikers and mountain bikers. Leashed pets only.

The new parking area is open!

We are excited to share that new parking area located at 150 High Street is now available for you to use with space for 8 vehicles. See driving directions below ~ Click here to view on Google Maps.

This easier and safer access to Lilly Pond Community Forest was made possible thanks to the generous contributions of funders, foundations, and community members.

Please pardon our temporary signs and roped off sections as we await new signage, kiosk, and for the grass to fully grow in!

Since we share the driveway with our immediate neighbors to the north, please be considerate when parking and do not block access to their garage or home.

If the new parking area is full, please use the parking lot at Goddard Park (0.3 mi north at the corner of High Street and Marshall Street).

Funding for improvements to Lilly Pond Community Forest was provided in part by the Maine Outdoor Heritage Fund, in which proceeds from the sale of a dedicated instant lottery ticket, currently ‘Wild Winners,’ are used to support outdoor recreation and natural resource conservation. For more information about MOHF, go to www.maine.gov/ifw/mohf.

We also would like to recognize the generous support of:
