10 Years of the Whiskeag Trail

Join us to celebrate this community-built trail! 

Ten years ago in September 2010, KELT joined the City of Bath, local schools, non-profits, individual hikers and bicycle riders, and private businesses to celebrate the opening of the 5-mile long Whiskeag Trail. Together we called ourselves Bath Trails, a truly locally-driven effort to create, connect, and care for multi-use trails for a healthier community. Stretching from the Bath YMCA to KELT's Thorne Head Preserve, the Whiskeag Trail has become a destination for hikers, bikers, trail runners, dog walkers, and more!

Starting this September, we have a fun fall planned to recognize the 10th Anniversary of this local success, from photo contests to trail cleanups. Follow along for updates as we encourage smiles along the five miles of the Whiskeag Trail!
