Update: Merrymeeting Trail Bill heads to work session
Update: Merrymeeting Trail Bill heads to work session
We just learned that the committee has scheduled its work session on LD 29, the Merrymeeting Trail bill, for this coming Tuesday afternoon, April 15. This is when the committee will consider all they learned during the public hearing last month and vote on whether to advance the bill to the full Legislature.
Want to help? Now would be a great time to email the members of the Transportation Committee and ask them to please vote "Ought to Pass" on LD 29, the Merrymeeting Trail bill. You can also point them toward this fact sheet. More info on how to do this is below.
Tips for Contacting members of the Transportation Committee:
You can email them individually or as a group.
Let them know where you live, why you support the Merrymeeting Trail, and that you hope they will vote "Ought to Pass" on LD 29 next Tuesday.
Point them toward this fact sheet if they have questions or want to learn more.
Thank them for their consideration and service!
