Lend us a hand! KELT Trail Scouts
We’d like to invite you to become a KELT Trail Scout for any one of our 12 preserves. Each spring, our staff and volunteers work to clear debris and trash off the 25+ miles of trails. You can help us by kicking debris off the trail and informing us when you encounter any fallen trees, bridging in need of repair, or damaged/missing signage. Then share with us what you discover in a mini Field Report.
12 preserves to visit and explore!
Brush off natural debris and pick-up trash that collects on the 25+ miles of trails over the winter and spring months.
To brush off the trails, simply use the side of your shoe to push natural debris off to the side. Bring along a trash bag to collect litter.
Let us know about bigger issues... if there are trees that have fallen across paths, a bridge that needs maintenance, or overcrowding at a particular trailhead.
Tell us what you discover in a mini field report: Take photos, draw a picture, or write a story of your trail exploration!
