Join KELT to read a story and learn about squirrels!
When: Thursday, November 10 at 9:30am
Where: Green Point Preserve in West Bath
We’ll meet at Green Point Preserve in West Bath to read a story: Nuts to You! By Lois Ehlert and then take a walk to watch for signs of squirrels preparing for the colder months ahead. The trail meanders through tall pines for 1 mile, out to the shoreline and back.
We’ll explore what it means to forage and cache and practice these squirrely behaviors ourselves! Craft kits will be available for families to take home and create a lunchbag squirrel puppet to continue the caching and foraging fun (limited kits available).
To get to Green Point Preserve: No formal address…parking area off of Birch Point Road in West Bath, 1 mile south of the intersection of Birch Point Road and Campbell Pond Road.
