Join the conversation about how we can best support ourselves, our town, and our neighbors during dangerous weather events. Dangerous weather events like flooding that cuts off roads and damages properties, major storms that knock out power, and high heat days in the summer, have increased in recent years and are expected to occur even more frequently in the coming years. Learn from local, county, and state emergency response experts about how our communities respond and actions we can take to be better prepared.
Attendees are invited to gather at Bath Brewing afterwards as a way to continue the conversation and to connect with other Bath folks who are concerned about climate change. It will be casual! Come talk about what we’ve just learned, share what we’re excited (or anxious) about when it comes to climate action, and what we might want to commit to doing here in Bath in the face of a changing climate.
This program is part of a continuing series of Bath Climate Conversations focused on learning, discussing, and connecting around ways to sustain and support our vibrant town as climate change occurs.
Hosted by Bath Climate Action Commission in partnership with KELT and the Patten Free Library and presented in person and on Zoom. Recordings of these programs will be posted in KELT’s Virtual Learning Library.
