Join us for a lecture on these invasive pests

Jumping worms are an invasive species of worm that is currently spreading in Maine. These worms, which were recently found at the LOCAL Garden managed by KELT, have the potential to significantly and relatively quickly alter natural ecosystems and lead to the dramatic loss of native plants and wildlife.

An introduction to jumping worms, the presence of this invasive in Maine, and how the jumping worm can impact our local gardens and environment. Presented by Brittany Schappach, entomologist, Maine Forest Service
