Join us for an evening of community, celebration and learning!
The evening will include a happy hour, our annual KELT business meeting, the launch of our Experience the Estuary Online Auction, and the unveiling of 2025-2030 Strategic Plan.
We will also delve into the fascinating and layered realm of habitat restoration in the Kennebec Estuary! We will welcome Chris Meaney from US Fish and Wildlife Service to ground us in why habitat restoration matters in Maine. Then learn from land trust staff about what restoration work looks like at KELT, from cross-sector partnerships to improving infrastructure for the benefit of people and resilient wildlife habitat. We'll share stories about three ongoing projects: Back River Creek in Woolwich (the large Route 1 project), prioritizing and assessing tidal crossings throughout the estuary, and Center Point Preserve in Bowdoinham.
