Four Conservation Organizations offer series of birding walks in the Midcoast Region
KELT, Merrymeeting Audubon, Harpswell Heritage Land Trust, and Brunswick-Topsham Land Trust have collaborated to offer multiple opportunities to visit beautiful natural places and watch for a variety of birds from forests to farms to the shoreline.

Early spring is when male birds begin to sing in earnest, vocally defending their territories against other males while advertising for mates. With practice, it is easy to learn to recognize different species. If you listen more closely, you can distinguish individuals and get insights into their age, upbringing, and emotional state. Nat Wheelwright, Bowdoin Biology Professor Emeritus and Harpswell resident, will lead this two-hour field trip to Curtis Farm Preserve. Please wear appropriate footwear and bring binoculars, if you have (or can borrow) them.
