Conservation Organizations offer series of birding walks in the Midcoast Region
One of the joys of spring is the return of birds of all shapes, sizes and colors. Who doesn’t love stepping outside to a chorus of birdsong or catching a glimpse of bright red or yellow in the trees? To help you identify and learn more about our local birds, several conservation groups collaborate each spring to offer the Birding Extravaganza!
Advance registration is required. Visit the website for each organization for more information.
Crystal Spring Farm Bird Walk
Hosted by the Brunswick Topsham Land Trust
Jan Pierson will guide us on an informative and fun bird walk through several Crystal Spring Farm habitats as we observe a variety of spring arrivals already on territory, from Bobolinks and swallows to warblers and sparrows, as well as keeping an eye and ear out for migrants that are still passing through. We'll watch and listen carefully, and learn something along the way. Bring your binocs, a hat, and some sturdy walking shoes. Be mindful that it is tick season so please prepare accordingly. Registration is required.
