Where: LOCAL Garden in Bath, on the corner of High and Lemont Street

There is a $5 suggested donation to cover the cost of materials. This event is for adults only.

Learn a simple way to convert fresh or dried elderberries into a homemade remedy! Laurie Burhoe, KELT’s LOCAL Garden Coordinator, will be showcasing a simple recipe she uses to make an elderberry tincture. Fun and easy to make! Immune-boosting potential! What’s not to like? Supplies will be provided to make and bring home your first tincture.

Feel free to bring a picnic lunch to enjoy at the garden following the program.

Burhoe has been involved with the LOCAL Garden since 2010 and became KELT’s Garden Coordinator in 2016. As a Maine Master Gardener, she works with children, adults, and families to care for the LOCAL Garden and teach gardening techniques.

To get to the garden: The LOCAL Garden is located at the corner of High Street and Lemont Street in Bath. From downtown, head south on High Street for ~1.8 miles. Turn left onto Lemont Street. Parking is on the left in front on the garden.
