Join KELT for an adventurous monthly educational series at Reid State Park!
When: friday july 26 at 9:30 am - 10:30 am
Where: Reid State Park in Georgetown
Join KELT to discover the amazing world of clams and learn how to dig them up for dinner. This event is great for kids of all ages and is focused on families. If you’re just a kid at heart - we have a big public clamming day at Reid in August!
Participants will meet at Todds Point, in the parking lot near the pavilion. Activities will be led by Emily Pistell, including a hunt for softshell clams and a hands-on clam dissection. What will you learn about these fascinating species?
The program offered by KELT and Reid State Park is free and open to the public. Participants will need to pay the state park entrance fee. This is a light rain or shine event, and registration is encouraged, using the form below.
