We need your help to build trails! Trail building event for all ages! Come help us finish bog bridges and help us clear new trails.
Red Rose Preserve will be KELT’s first public preserve in Bowdoinham. At 67 acres, the preserve was protected thanks to generous donations from local landowners. This summer, KELT staff and volunteers are constructing an approximately one mile long loop visiting different parts of the property. Red Rose Preserve, a former dairy farm, includes the two hayfields, as well as supporting mixed forest with a perennial stream, in addition to scrub-shrub habitat.
Tools will be provided. Clothing and closed-toed shoes that can get muddy are recommended. Bring your work gloves and don’t forget your bug repellent!
