When: Saturday, July 23rd from 10AM - 12PM
Where: LOCAL Garden in South Bath. On the corner of High and Lemont Street.
This workshop is designed for adults and children 8 years old and older.
Dry skin be gone! Meet us at the LOCAL Garden in south Bath to use just a few simple ingredients to make a wonderful lavender calendula coconut salve, using flowers grown in LOCAL garden.
Containers and supplies will be provided. No prior experience needed!
LOCAL Garden Coordinator, Laurie Burhoe, made her own using this recipe last year. Calendula, in the marigold family, are flowers that have a huge variety of uses. Oil made from the flowers is gentle and cooling, perfect for anyone spending a lot of time outdoors and is exceptional for those with sensitive skin. Our salve will be a simple homemade way to nourish dry and chapped skin and lips. Join Burhoe to get the recipe using coconut oil, beeswax and lavender essential oil.
We ask for a suggested donation of $5 to cover the supplies. This is a light rain or shine event.
Due to limited capacity, registration is required by using the registration form below by calling 207-442-8400.
To get to the garden: The LOCAL Garden is located at the corner of High Street and Lemont Street in Bath. From downtown, head south on High Street for ~1.8 miles. Turn left onto Lemont Street. Parking is on the left in front on the garden.
