We suspect that you have received multiple messages on how to prepare for COVID-19. For those of you whose schedules and routines have shifted, there are outdoor places to be active while reducing your exposure.

We encourage you to find solace on the 25+ miles of trails across KELT's 12 preserves. Here are a few reasons why time spent in nature can be beneficial for your mental and physical well-being:

  • Exercise outdoors helps reduce anxiety and depression.

  • Time outside allows you to keep your distance from others, while still feeling active and productive about your day.

  • Disconnecting from notifications, phones, and computers is a great way to slow down and relax.

  • Hiking can help you feel energized and at peace with nature.

  • Enjoying time outside is a great alternative to crowded, indoor activities.

  • KELT has trails that are easily accessible to our local communities.

  • Preserves offer activities like bird watching, trail running, and mountain biking that keep you happy and healthy. These can also be done individually or in pairs.
