WHEN: Friday May 6th, 2022 from 7-8:30PM
WHERE: Lilly Pond Community Forest
KELT is honored to be joined by Jessica Woodend, Community Manager at BatBnB and resident of (Bat)h, for a walking lecture at Lilly Pond Community Forest. We will explore topics like adaptations, current threats, and how we can help bat populations in our area. We will observe the BatBnB off of the Marsh View Trail that was installed in 2020. We’ll watch and listen carefully, and learn something along the way! This program is free and is suitable for people of all ages. Bring some sturdy walking shoes, a headlamp (if you have one), and a sense of adventure.
Registration is required for this event by May 4th due to the limited class size; click the link below to sign-up.
Jessica Woodend is the Community Manager at BatBnB. Jessica has spent the last 15 years as a Wildlife Educator all around the country, the last 10 years being here in Maine. She has worked with injured wild animals and cared for non-releasable bats. In her spare time you could come across her out hiking on a local trail, as she is a resident of Bath, or out at night listening for bats with a bat detector.
