Help wrangle naughty knotweed at LOCAL Garden in Bath!
When: Wednesday, April 13th from 10AM-1PM
Where: LOCAL Garden, Corner of High Street and Lemont Street in Bath
We need your help to remove knotweed at LOCAL garden! This is the second workday in our ongoing effort to control the knotweed patch at LOCAL. Attendance of last workday not required to join in on the fun!
Volunteers are needed to help remove non-native, invasive Japanese Knotweed (Fallopia japonica) from LOCAL garden in Bath. No prior invasive plant removal experience necessary – only a willingness to wade into the weeds! We will provide training and families with children are welcome.
The workday will be led by KELT’s Land & Stewardship Coordinator, Tenley Wurglitz, and LOCAL Garden Coordinator, Laurie Burhoe, and we hope you can join us!
Please wear sturdy shoes and clothes that can get dirty. Also, please bring work gloves, water, and loppers if you have them. We will have extra loppers on hand.
The workday will be capped at 15 participants and registration is required.
To sign up, please use the form below or call 207-442-8400.
