Thorne Head Preserve in north Bath features a wonderful variety of tree and shrub species to learn from and Tenley will share some of her favorite field guides for continued exploration. This is a great walk for anyone looking to build their skills as a naturalist or just get outside in winter for a walk in the woods with other nature enthusiasts.
Our pace will be leisurely with frequent stops, and we’ll cover approximately 1-1.5 miles on natural surface trails with a few small hills. Depending on what the weather brings us, snowshoes or ice grippers may be strongly recommended. This walk is targeted for adults and children 10 years of age and older. No pets please.
Registration is required and this event will be capped at 12 participants.
