Join KELT to explore a preserve and learn about animals tracks!
When: Thursday, JANUARY 19 at 9:30 am
Where: thorne head in bath
We’ll meet at Thorne Head Preserve in Bath to take a walk and learn how to identify animal tracks in the snow and on the trail. The trail meanders through woods, out to a scenic overlook and back (~1 mi round trip).
The winter is the perfect time to discover the hidden lives of animals we share our local trails with. We'll begin with a story, play our way up the Whiskeag and Ridgerunner Trails demonstrating animal tracks (.5 miles out) and finish with a winter woods scavenger hunt on the Overlook Trail (.5 miles back). Be sure to come with some energy to transform into winter animals and any layers you need to keep warm! This program is designed for ages 1-5, but all participants welcome to explore.
